LOCATION: Oeiras, Portugal
DURATION: 1 year with possible extensions
CONTRACT: Consultant
SALARY: Negotiable daily rate
WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday, normal working hours
START DATE: 01/01/2019
Resolve desktop issues with various Operating System versions (Windows) as well as ensure the User Accounts and Security/Distribution Groups Management
Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting support of computer hardware, software, desktop applications, networks, printers and computers peripherals
Systems troubleshooting and support to include diagnosing, fixing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and software as well as desktop applications
Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools approved at AFPL (Approved Field Products List), techniques and technologies
Maintains current knowledge of all technology assigned to CSU Lisbon (AFPL Software, Licenses Management, Site Certificates, ITSM Management & Incident Response)
Operate Endpoint Security System (approved by NCIA) and ensure the Local CIS Security Services (Patching Management and Control and COMPUSEC configuration management according with SOPs)
Contributes to Incident Management Level 1 and 2 support, Problem Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management
Installs, operates and performs maintenance on the existing networks for all ICT related programs, projects and activities of the training facility
Provides Service support to the software applications and tools used by the instructors to maintain the used systems supported
For non-standardized legacy applications and infrastructure, provides redundant configuration, maintenance, and administration services while working within CSU Lisbon established guidelines for security, robustness, and operational sustainability
Identifies software upgrades and patches including but not limited to browsers, operation systems, and test for compatibility with Application Management Section Team and other applications
Participates as primary goal of the site audit in order to assess the level of Quality Management and level of conformity that CSU Lisbon must reach
Deputize for higher grade staff, if required
Performs other duties as may be required


Job requirements: 

Vocational training at a higher level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, or Diploma of a secondary education
At least 5 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, LDAP authentication, and VMWare VM/ VDI deployments
Good working knowledge of ITU-T standards and recommendations
Formal training on Windows Operating Systems
Experience in configuration of Operating Systems
Operation and Support of VM/VDIs
HW troubleshooting
Working knowledge of MS Office suite, email Clients, Web Browsing and Web Content Management
Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards

VMWare Horizon 7 (Minimum): install, configure and manage
Experience in ITSM Tool
Experience in ITIL Service Management framework (ITIL Foundation certification)
Configuration Control; IT Collaboration tools
Member of a recognized professional body or institution
Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of the other is desirable.
