LOCATION: Mons, Belgium
DURATION: March to December 2019 with possible extensions
CONTRACT: Consultant
SALARY: Negotiable daily rate
WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday, normal working hours
START DATE: March 2019
Under the direction of the HSPMO (Head Service and Programme Management Office), the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:
Assist the HSPMO for the totality of activities for which he/she is involved within the Directorate
Support the day-to-day activities related to P3M responsibilities, specifically by the use of project management toolsets and Business Intelligence tools
Maintain collaborative data and information on DSO Sharepoint Portal
Assist the HSPMO in managing the Directorate’s Service Portfolio and Programmes/Projects, in accordance with NATO regulations and NCIA policies, procedures and standards
Assist in the coordination of cross-Service Line services and projects
Assist the HSPMO in providing support on Service, Projects and Processes Performance Metrics, when required
Assist the HSPMO in the collection, collation, verification and analysis of lifecycle data and information related to DSO services, programmes, projects and processes
Deputize for higher grade staff, if required
Performs other duties as may be required


Job requirements: 

Vocational training at a higher level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, or Diploma of secondary education
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Proven practical experience with MS Project 2010 (EPM), MS Office Suite
Working experience in data analytics, MS Excel pivot tables, graphical representation of business data
Plans, schedules own work and monitors work of others - where applicable – within limited time horizons
Sound knowledge of industry standard project management framework and best practices
Foundation knowledge of ITIL Framework
Experience in activities which involve the provision of administrative assistance to compile, verify, record and process forms and documents, in accordance with NCI Agency directives/guidance
Experience in the preparation of correspondence, proof-reading material for accuracy, compiling material for publication and performing other related administrative duties
Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, with good briefing skills

Additional information: 

Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, PMBOK)
ITIL Foundation certification
Prior operational experience
Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
